Warehouse detection is a height problem
Smoke from a fire at floor level cools as it rises and can spread sideways before reaching a ceiling detector twelve metres up. That is why high-bay buildings commonly need beam or aspirating detection rather than point detectors, and why a change in racking layout is a reason to revisit the design rather than a cosmetic change.
